So guys there's something I want to share with you,
I have recently had a round of interviews with GuitarBackingTrack users.
7 out of 10 were either performing musicians or YouTubers or both
I am glad to post links to channels of some of the guys I talked to:

What I got from the interviews is that backing tracks mostly help with:
- practicing the tempo and timing
- orientation in a song
- rehearsing in order to not screw up in front of the audience of your band at rehearsal.
So, broadly speaking it helps you practice playing the whole piece from start till finish with the right tempo and timing.
I must be right to say though, that not all our users are professionals and performerss who
need to know the whole song.
So, here's a question from me: how good do you usually have to know the song in order to be playing it with the backing track?
Do you have to be able to play the whole song or do you start playing with the BT even if you only know a part of the song?
A lot of us are bedroom guitarists (well, I, certainly, am one of those) and when I nail some part of the song I can't wait to play it with the backing track.
And of course these parts I learn are the "hottest" and most recognizable riffs and solos of the song.
So, the fact that I can be Ritchie Blackmore or Brian May just for 20-30 seconds makes me happy like hell. And, to say the truth, I don't usually have the intention to learn the whole song.
So, what do you guys think about that all?
Does that sound familiar to you?
Are you a whole song learner?
Or do you mostly play the hottest parts?
