Well yeah, you can still make your backing tracks by yourself: maybe they wouldn't be very accurate, but hey, it's very pleasant xD

Hello,
first you need the multitrack of the song you want the BT. The multitrack is basely composed by many audio files, as the various instruments, which put together form the actual song. For example, one can have 'guitar', 'rhythm', 'keys', 'drums' and 'vocals' files. Once you have these, you just import the files in Audacity (a free software), and you'll have all the instruments separated. Then, just remove the file (that is the instrument) you don't want in the song, and voilą: you made the backing track.
Example: by removing the 'guitar' file, you will get the song without guitar (guitar BT), by removing the 'drum' file, you will have the drum BT, and so on.
But where do these file come from?
Basically all these multitrack files come from Guitar Hero and Rock band games, so you will find multitracks only for songs which actually are in these two games. But hey, they are enough, aren't they
