General Discussion / 10.000 track milestone!

Hi guys,
thanks to all of your submissions we are now serving more than 10.000 guitar backing tracks and this site is the largest guitar backing track site in the world by far!
I would like to thank all of the submitters for the great quality tracks you have submitted. A special thanks goes to apefist and mel-loguitars for their latest contributions causing the number of tracks to exceed 10k. Keep up the good work!

just send me an e-mail where you include the return address and I'll reply to it. You have now sent 3 e-mail about this without any way to get back to you.
Edit: I'll add a reply to your questions as well. You basically want to profit from "selling" a cover version of a song. As you state this requires the original artist's permission. I cannot help you with finding the contact person for this, but I would suggest starting with contacting the record company or the artists management. I would also suggest you do some research online on how to release a cover version. You can't be the first one to have this issue.

Sure, but it is very hard to implement. I suggest that you download the tracks and use an offline program like SongSurgeon for your speed and pitch shifting needs.

There's a size limit on uploads to the site to avoid people uploading crazy big files that could potentially crash the server. I think it is set to 100MB now. If you have a video larger than that please upload it somewhere else and post a link.

Hi, I tried to run this through key detection software and got the key D#. It's not very accurate, but it seems to work fine to play just a standard Eb minor penta over it at least.
PS: The software is called Rapid Evolution 3 and can detect BPM, key, etc.
